Just as Ernest Holmes developed the first wrecker in Chattanooga, the city has continued to be a leader by
also providing hardware to go on to the wrecker.
Soon Dixie Industries will celebrate 100 years of forging excellence. One of the proudest achievements of Dixie
is our long history of developing and forging innovative products for the towing industry.
If you visit the International Towing Hall of Fame and Museum, you will see many Dixie forgings on display.
Dixie Industries is the only company in the towing hardware industry that manufactures the complete towing
hardware, chain and forgings. Every other company simply buys parts from the least expensive parts source and
assembles the the products.
